Program Description:
This position is responsible for technically supporting business development team and clients on sales opportunities, including but not limited to, determining customer needs, defining POD requirements, generating and submitting cleanroom conceptual drawings, and developing project cost estimates for proposals. The position provides technical leadership for engineering studies with clients, and supports the operations team during project design and execution. This position shall also support G-CON marketing, innovation, and collaboration activities, and lead specific initiatives, as required, to support implementation of the companies strategic and tactical plans.

Technical lead for sales opportunities to ensure order conversion (60%)
- Presents and discusses G-CON capabilities and POD technology with potential customers
- Provides technical support to G-CON Business Development team
- Meets with with client(s) to understand their process and facility design requirements and determine feasibility of POD technology for their project
- Generates conceptual layouts, budgetary estimates, and preliminary project schedules in support of proposal development
- Advises customers on facility design considerations and options
- Coordinates with process equipment providers for assessing integration within PODs
- Provides regular updates to management team on client opportunities for updating of sales projection and financial forecasts
Client project execution support (10%)
- Leads feasibility and pre-concept engineering study efforts, coordinating with internal and external resources as required.
- Supports operations team through all engineering design phases of project (Conceptual, Basic, Detailed)
- Performs the functions required as per POD Sales Process procedures and identifies and implements improvements
- Coordinates with Operations team and ensures smooth transition during order conversion
- Supports BD and Operations communication with client during both sales and project lifecycles
- Gives feed-back on design and/or functionality improvements of the PODs through lessons learned activities
Marketing and Product support (30%)
- Supports product/portfolio and marketing launch activities to ensure voice of customer is addressed
- Technical sales SME for new strategic initiatives (eg. Hybrid Solutions)
- Leads G-CON collaborative efforts with industry suppliers and partners
- Generation of white papers, articles, and marketing collateral for publication and advertising purposes
- Participation in industry organizations and initiative
- Attends conferences and tradeshows that G-CON exhibits and sponsors
Presentations at conferences, webinars, customer venues

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree:
Mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, bio engineering or other related discipline
Minimum of 5-10 years:
Pharmaceutical and/or biotech work experience, especially design and engineering of related facilities, areas or processes
Advanced
Knowledge in cGMP, qualification or process validation requirements
Advanced
Knowledge in cleanroom and/or controlled area designs, specifications, and CQV
Advanced
Knowledge in facility lay-out and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical and biotech products
Advanced
Knowledge in project management and related coordination of different functions
Intermediate
Knowledge in design transfer to manufacturing
Intermediate
Skills and knowledge in using computer-aided design systems (ACAD, Revit).

Skill in report writing, articulation and correspondence with customers
