Economic Assistance -Statewide Remote - Vendor Management Specialist

Enhance program integrity and efficiency by managing vendor relations and streamlining communication between policy and service providers for the ND Health and Human Services Economic Assistance section. We are offering two positions: one focused on vendor management for the LIHEAP program and the other on CCAP/TANF.

As a Vendor Management Specialist, you will ensure equitable practices through diligent oversight, guaranteeing the fair and consistent application of program rules. You will uphold high standards of practice through detailed reporting and proactive management of vendor relationships, which includes improving communication with vendors and conducting regular audits to verify compliance. Your responsibilities will also involve providing training and technical support regarding compliance and performing site visits to audit vendor operations, check billings, and investigate any discrepancies.

To thrive in this position, you must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective vendor relationships, along with a commitment to continuous improvement. You should be comfortable juggling multiple projects in a dynamic environment, ensuring that all program outcomes are met while responding to inquiries and providing assistance to vendors and participants. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will enable you to manage various priorities effectively. A proactive compliance mindset is essential, allowing you to view challenges as opportunities for growth while fostering a culture of compliance.

To be considered for the Vendor Management Specialist positions, you must have an associates degree or 4+ years of experience with Human Service programs or auditing.

Location:

ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position may work from home within the state of North Dakota and must be willing and able to travel for meetings. Applicants residing in or relocating to North Dakota or in bordering communities will be considered.
