Job Title: Project Manager with PMP

Location: Manassas, VA (Onsite – 5 days in a week)

Position Type: Contract to hire position

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.

Utilize project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) to effectively guide project phases from initiation to closure.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with executive leadership, department heads, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, align project goals, and manage expectations.

Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders through updates, presentations, and reports.

Risk Assessment and Management:

Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.

Monitor risk factors throughout the project and adjust plans as necessary to maintain project health.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Assign responsibilities and ensure team members understand their roles and contributions to the project.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project progress and success.

Prepare detailed project status reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and next steps.

Budget and Resource Management:

Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently.

Oversee resource allocation to optimize team performance and project outcomes.

Continuous Improvement:

Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and best practices for future projects.

Champion process improvements and methodologies to enhance project management capabilities within the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

7 Years of experience in project management, particularly with large-scale and strategic projects.

Proven track record of successful project delivery and team leadership.

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.

PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Experience in Information Technology is a plus.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
