A New Leaf's Human Resources department is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HR Coordinator to support our Human Resources department. In this role, you will support and assist with various HR activities. The HR Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations and providing administrative support across all areas of human resources. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in HR and grow within the department.

Hourly Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm

Location: Mesa, AZ (on-site only)

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School or GED required
  • Associates degree preferred

Experience

  • One (1) year of Human Resources experience, required
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Direct communication and working closely with the HR team.
  • Open and prepare HR Campus to ensure building alarms are unarmed.
  • Secure HR campus at the close of business each day ensuring building doors are locked, alarms are armed, and campus gate is closed.
  • Cover the HR reception desk, answer and direct phone calls, greet visitors, and clients in a comfortable and welcoming manner both in person and over the phone.
  • Provide HR support by answering questions and assisting with requests timely.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential data such as HR records and personnel files utilizing the agency system of record, Dayforce.
  • Provide HR support through filing, typing, copying and scanning.
  • Maintain HR supply inventory by auditing HR supplies in main office and kitchen areas weekly. Determine supply level needed for ordering; and submit order to the HR Admin.
  • Stock delivered supplies after verifying packing receipt throughout the HR campus, including maintaining the Kitchen; submit verified packing slip to the HR Admin for processing and confirmation of delivery.
  • Receive, sort and distribute all incoming HR mail.
  • Process all outgoing mail including packages, including mail drop-off to Administrative Office.
  • Triage HR internal email prioritizing and routing correspondences as required.
  • Respond or initiate HR internal and external communications through the direction of Employee Relations or HR the Director timely.
  • Track HR team milestones and prepare recognition cards for the HR team to sign.
  • Track and maintain team documents, files, templates, materials, and metrics in shared team drives.
  • Process verification of employments requests.
  • Build credibility and trust among employees by addressing employee questions through compassion, a systematic approach, clear documentation and timely follow-through.
  • Ensure employee questions and concerns are answered promptly and/or properly routed.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience.
  • Assist with processing FMLA, Workers Compensation, and ADA requests.
  • Assist with processing HR investigation summary reports.
  • Assist with OSHA injury reports and annual posting.
  • Perform sanction checks on newly hired employees and monitor and update monthly.
  • Assist with EEOC reporting.
  • Assist with various HR reports.
  • Manage HR/Agency SharePoint and update as needed.
  • Admin backup in HR expense software concur for HR Purchase Orders and invoicing requests.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding as backup during planned leaves.
  • Monitor unemployment claims by reviewing and submitting necessary documents.
  • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
  • Document human resources actions by completing forms, logs, and records.
  • Work with the team, employees, and managers in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a sense of professionalism as reflected through work habits, attitude, communication and dress.
  • HR Director support as needed.
  • Assist with special HR as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
