The employee-owned firm is staffed with well over 140 experienced architects, designers, project managers, administrative staff, including LEED, Evidence-Based Design and LEAN accredited professionals, many of whom are dedicated to specific market sectors. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide internal document quality control and coordination with consultant team
- Develop permit construction drawings and assist with specification coordination
- Provide support on the coordination of project documentation from consultant team
- Attend consultant coordination meetings
- Assist in performing building code & bylaw analysis
- Provide internal document quality control and coordination with consultant team
- Assist in collaborating with various project stakeholders, clients, consultants, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction
- Research building products
- Support coordination of contract administration
- Institutional experience in the healthcare, justice, research and sport facility areas of practice
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree
- Minimum 5 years professional experience
- Strong technical proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with Enscape, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite
- Highly organized and detail oriented; proven track record of meeting project timelines
- Excellent understanding of current building codes, building construction, details and building science
- Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
- Critical thinking, effective problem solving and decision-making skills
- Team player, adaptable and has a positive attitude towards learning
- Experience with contract administration
