About the role:
Catalytic Data Science is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, well-organized team player to join our innovative Go-to-Market team. As an Informatics Solution Specialist, you will drive outreach to a number of roles that contribute to the preclinical development of therapeutics within leading Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, and Agricultural Biotechnology companies across the U.S. You must become comfortable speaking to a target audience in biological sciences such as Phd s, MDs and Executives. You will learn how to demo bioinformatics analytics (at a minimum) which may include but is not limited to Whole Genome Sequencing/Whole Exome Sequencing, Gene Editing, Whole Transcriptome Sequencing, Single Cell RNA-Seq, Proteomics and Pathway Analysis with the goal of gaining experience in a customer facing position. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, BINF savvy, exhibits interpersonal communication skills, coachable, professional and has a passion for success. You will gain experience in two distinct roles within the Sales Organization with one area of concentration in sales and the other as a bioinformatics specialist.
Responsibilities:
The Informatics Solution Specialist will have the opportunity to work in the Sales Organization. The Informatics Solution Specialist may also present discovery informatics demonstrations of the software, execute inbound and outbound sales development campaigns to create qualified sales leads.
Additional responsibilities are reflected below:
- Develop a crisp understanding of domain knowledge selling and demonstrating CDS search and analytics to identified accounts which may be in LifeScience accounts, Pharma/Biotech, Teaching Hospitals, Med Schools/Universities, Disease Foundations, Agriculture Bio. at a minimum.
- Understand how to answer prospect and customer account questions and how to overcome science based objections in a meaningful manner.
- Assist in collaboration across the sales team to source and develop targeted lists, call strategies and meaningful messaging tactics
- Assist with executing outbound campaigns created by marketing and sales with the potential to assist in the creation process.
- Utilize your technical and value-based knowledge to create leads out of cold (or warm) inbound and outbound prospecting
- Assist with generating interest through follow up via relevant messaging based upon targeted segment while potentially bringing fresh ideas.
- Support and potentially create sales opportunities for the sales team
- Potentially, supporting essential marketing operations such as managing the lead lifecycle, data cleansing
Requirements:
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skill
- Self-reliant and reliable. Ability to work autonomously
- Biology, IT and/or SaaS software knowledge required
- Outbound B2B phone/e-mail marketing or sales experience is a plus
- Openness to coaching and learning
