Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Administrator with extensive knowledge of Life Insurance and mandatory experience with the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration Application (OIPA). This role will involve ownership of our Life Mod Oracle servers, specifically the Life Mod OIPA system operating in a Kubernetes environment.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with all Life Mod build teams and our external Oracle team to support our new platform. As part of a proactive team, you will be responsible for providing 24/7/365 support for our Life Products. Your key responsibilities will include troubleshooting configuration issues that affect our Life Mod OIPA product.

Candidates must demonstrate expertise in resolving complex server issues and have familiarity with containerizing vendor-based products, as well as experience with systems running on WebSphere or Tomcat.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Administrator or similar role, with a focus on Oracle OIPA.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policy administration processes and workflows.
  • Java, SQL, XML, XSLT, Python
  • Proficiency in Oracle database management and SQL scripting.
  • Experience with OIPA configuration, including business rules, workflows, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with integration methodologies and tools used in Oracle environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes or other containerization technologies desired.

Compensation Range: $85,500-$156,200

For California, New York, and Connecticut candidates:

Potential salary range: $90,000 - $177,500

Potential yearly inventive pay: up to 15% of base salary
