Job Summary:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist for a contract-to-hire role with our client in the media industry. This person would join their technical support team and work out of their office near Downtown Las Vegas. This role involves providing on-demand, quality technical troubleshooting and support services for various internal business units, both locally and remotely, in a dynamic call center environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, customer service excellence, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting while handling a range of technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical troubleshooting and support for computer hardware, software, and network connectivity to internal teams both locally and remote.

  • Provide first-call resolution for resolvable issues, escalating complex cases as needed according to established protocols.

  • Work effectively within a team to deliver consistent, high-quality support.

  • Use proven troubleshooting techniques to address issues related to network topologies, general software applications, hardware functionality, and network connectivity.

  • Provide timely feedback to team members and management, contributing to continuous improvement of support services.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma required; college degree in information technology or related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in technical support, customer service, or a call center environment.

  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and Office applications.

  • Knowledge of Macintosh operating systems and specialized graphics and publishing applications preferred.

  • Familiarity with the newspaper publishing industry is a plus.

  • Certifications: A+ certification preferred; Macintosh Apple Certified Help Desk Specialist (ACHDS) certification is also preferred.

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively and independently in a variety of situations.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.
