Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated Structural Designer to support our engineering team. As an Entry-Level Structural Designer, you will assist in the design and analysis of structural components for various construction projects. You will work under the supervision of senior engineers and designers to ensure that structures are safe, functional, and compliant with relevant codes and standards. Key Responsibilities:
Design and Drafting: Create detailed structural drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Analysis: Perform basic structural analysis to determine the strength and stability of structures.
Material Selection: Assist in selecting appropriate materials for construction based on project requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to integrate structural designs with overall project plans.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including calculations, reports, and specifications.
Maintain filing systems and update records.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Solidworks, SDS2, AutoCAD, Revit) and structural analysis tools.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
Experience: Internships or coursework related to structural design are advantageous but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
