NOW HIRING!!! Maintenance Technician Supervisor needed for top frozen foods and food experience manufacturing company located in Hayward, CA. We are seeking a strong Supervisor with Warehouse Maintenance Mechanic experience to help guide their 2nd shift maintenance technicians to achieve their daily responsibilities, repair and perform maintenance fixtures on various warehouse machinery. This position is a direct hire opportunity, payrate based on prior experience, education/or certification. All maintenance technicians are welcomed to apply. Company is seeking full-time, maintenance mechanics with at least 2 or more years of experienced preferred. Electrical background a plus.
Open Positions:

Payrate Range: $100 110K/annual. (We need candidates with electrical experience and mechanics together for at least 2-3 years of experience at this level. All candidates will need to submit an updated resume, interview and complete all necessary requirements for this open position.)
Skills and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through on the job training or experience
- 2-5 years of Supervisor maintenance experience/supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food.
- 2-5 years of experience in Maintenance tech
- Communication: English
- Some experience in food manufacturing industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Solid technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of USDA and OSHA regulations, including GMPs, Sanitation, and HACCP principles and practices
- Knowledge of Boilers, Waste Water Treatment, Compressed Air Systems and Ammonia Refrigeration
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite of applications; including Word, Excel and out Outlook
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
- Experience with electrical systems, including reading schematics and working with logic controllers
- Ability to weld and fabricate parts as needed
- Some familiarity with CMMS software
Job Summary: Maintenance Mechanic position requires strong professional leadership level experience, excellent preventative machine mechanical repair experience and communication skills. Requirements are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. - Perform highly diversified maintenance repairs on manufacturing machinery, electrical repairs, compressors systems/or other warehouse machinery
- General Maintenance for the machines we use, Food manufacturing machines, electrical wiring and troubleshooting computer machine technology Strapping machine, Horizontal, vertical, and handheld units, Shrink tunnels, shrink machines, and seal press machines, Conveyers, powered and non-powered.
- Working through direct reports, ensures that plant equipment is maintained in optimum operating condition to avoid, or minimize, production down-time and costs
- Responds urgently to equipment related production issues and downtime by assigning repair work as soon as issues are identified
- Develops, maintains and administers all aspects of the critical spare parts and inventory
- Ensures timely completion of work orders; repairs, and preventative maintenance and documentation of all maintenance activities
- Approves all parts orders within approved purchasing limits and budgets
- Continually assess maintenance effectiveness and works with production team to identify opportunities for improvement, production optimization and maintenance planning
- Work with other departments and individuals to effectively coordinate equipment and building maintenance activities
- Responsible for providing after-hours maintenance resources by calling in appropriate maintenance staff; responds personally in critical or complicated situations
- Ensures that the Maintenance Shop is kept orderly and clean
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, while achieving budgeted goals for efficiency on
an on-going basis
- Provides necessary guidance, technical support, and training to ensure that all employees work safely and comply with food safety programs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Repair or replace defective components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Fabricate parts as needed to complete repair
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and logic controller
- Utilize a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders and document maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used
- Assist in developing preventive maintenance schedules
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
- Work on new installations of all powered industrial equipment/Electrical and non-electrical repairs and troubleshooting throughout facility
- Perform all work as assigned while adhering to established standards associated with workmanship and safety, OSHA, GMPs ect.
- Responsible for the safe and dependable operating condition of all equipment in the facility.
- Dismantling and re-assembly of equipment to perform repairs, cleaning
- Performs all work safely and efficiently per safety standards
- Regularly required to work, climb stairs and ladders, and reach with hands and arms.
- Position occasionally requires climbing to high elevations.
- Employee is required to stand; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Must frequently life and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and at times up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
