About the Role:

The Social Media Coordinator at OLAPLEX plays a pivotal role in strategizing, creating, and managing social media content and community efforts across various platforms. This role requires a highly organized individual with a keen eye for detail, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of social media trends and analytics. The Social Media Coordinator will enforce visual storytelling and voice, analyze metrics to optimize performance, conduct competitive analysis, develop data-driven recommendations, and liaise with retailer needs. All while collaborating with E-comm, Marketing, & PR for a 360 approach to the OLAPLEX social channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute comprehensive social media strategies to enhance brand presence and engagement
  • Partner with your manager to create, and schedule captivating social media content that is on-brand and optimized for each platform, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Enforce visual storytelling and voice to maintain a cohesive brand identity across all social media channels
  • Manage content calendars and workflows to ensure timely delivery of content
  • Draft compelling copy for all social media posts across channels
  • Ideate with Social Media Content Producer to drive content creation for social channels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, E-commerce, PR, and Sales, for a cohesive approach to social media initiatives
  • Assist with analyzing social media performance metrics to derive actionable insights and optimize strategies accordingly
  • Conduct competitive analysis and stay updated on industry trends to inform social media strategy
  • Develop data-driven recommendations for strategy improvements based on insights gathered
  • Liaise with retailer needs to ensure alignment of social media efforts with retail objectives
  • Organize logistics for campaigns, content creation, and launch plans involving PRO, Retail, Marketing, Education, PR, and Sales
  • Assist with analytic reporting of data-driven insights allows stakeholders to make more informed decisions, including Retail and PRO content performance
  • Contribute to the development of domestic and international Social Media calendars
  • Generate, edit, & publish engaging content; (e.g., story templates, photos, videos, etc.)
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management or a similar role
  • Proficiency in posting across various social media platforms
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and web traffic data analysis
  • Familiarity with social media KPIs and analytics tools
  • Ability to stay updated on social media trends and identify emerging platforms and tools
  • Excellent multitasking, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong team player with exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Working knowledge of social media analysis and reporting tools

Our Total Rewards:

The annual base pay for this position is $53,000 - $67,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, skill level, functional expertise, certificates or other professional licenses held and geographic location.
