Provides technical guidance and support to technical and mechanical staff on areas of wastewater projects.
Develops reports and other administrative documents. Provides technical support to urban design staff. Interprets codes and regulations. Investigates and/or responds to inquiries from technical personnel, and regulatory agencies.
Analyzes work processes and implements improvements to enhance planning for a resilient approach to stormwater technical support and management.
Builds, maintains & updates hydraulic and water quality models for the La Porte Rail and Terminal water system and applies models to develop operational and CIP projects and long-range strategies. Evaluates and analyzes the water systems using various data, tools, and techniques including advanced computer models, Business Analytics (BI), and Geographical Information System (GIS). Identify, evaluate, recommend, and plan for improvements of operations, procedures, facilities, and systems.
Performs water demand projection, short-term and long-term water planning. Prepares, reviews, and provides recommendations on technical studies, CIP project reports, DCR reports, and planning reports. Performs and reviews engineering computations. Develops and designs conceptual utilities layouts, drawings, etc. Reviews, research, analyzes, internal and external data. Reviews and evaluates service requests. Assist surface & groundwater accounting. Review and identify regulatory requirements for the water utility and perform analysis to evaluate the system to find regulatory deficiencies. Coordinates engineering activities in all disciplines (i.e., Water, Wastewater, and Storm Water) as a project manager. Coordinate and participate in various meetings, keep track of project and data logs, etc.
Performs wastewater infrastructure including all wastewater systems within La Porte Rail and Terminal which are comprised of collection systems (networks of sewer pipes, manholes, sewage lift stations) and wastewater treatment facilities.
Wastewater (or wastewater) generated after the use of water from any combination of domestic, industrial, commercial or , surface runoff / storm water, and any sewer inflow or sewer infiltration.
Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) or a preventive maintenance approach that focuses on optimizing the reliability of a system or process. At its core, RCM seeks to identify potential failure modes and ways to prevent them before they occur. The goal is to proactively assess the risk associated with any potential failure so maintenance teams can take corrective measures quickly and effectively.
