Keep machinery running at peak performance and drive operational success by troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing plant equipment as a Maintenance Technician.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This role involves working with PLCs, CNCs, servo systems, and AC motion controls, as well as conducting preventive maintenance and addressing machine breakdowns. The Maintenance Technician will also document repair activities, maintain shop areas, and recommend control system upgrades to modernize equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment by checking voltages, replacing faulty components, and adjusting cameras and software.
- Program and optimize PLCs, CNCs, servo systems, and AC motion controls to resolve electronic faults and machine failures.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and services to ensure machines are running at peak performance.
- Quickly identify and resolve machine breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
- Review blueprints, mitigate electrical hazards, and test electrical systems using tools such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to ensure functionality.
- Address equipment fault requests promptly and recommend control system upgrades to enhance performance and modernize equipment.
Qualifications:
- Associate s degree in Electronics (preferred).
- 2-5 years of experience troubleshooting electronic controls in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electronics and the ability to read and interpret schematics and programs.
