Title: Quality Assurance Analyst I
Rate: $32/hr
Location: Detroit, MI or Charlotte, NC or Lewisville, TX

Note: This is a contract on W2. THIS IS NOT OPEN TO C2C.

Required Skills:

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate would have had testing experience prior, able to understands acceptance criteria and create test cases bases on the requirements of the user story/task. The candidate would have worked in an Agile cycle of processes and have a good understanding of QA methodologies and concepts. This candidate would be able to pivot in a fast-paced environment and identity potential threats of missing a time deadline. An addition to the top three, required, and desired skills, the ideal candidate would bring a positive how-can-we attitude and willingness to identify and socialize uncertainties and comprehension blockers;

Position Description

As a QA Analyst for Auto Consumer Credit Operations, you will play a key role in successfully executing QA processes in a mission critical vertical at Ally Financial. You will work closely with the QA Leads, QA Analysts, product owners, business stakeholders and delivery teams to execute upon the defined QA/Testing processes and principles.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create assigned testing artifacts.
  • Create test cases based upon requirements provided.
  • Execute test cases.
  • Review test results with other QA personnel.
  • Document testing results.
  • Identify, document, and report defects.
  • Present identified defects to development team and answer questions regarding the testing performed and data used.
  • Participate in release planning sessions and ask clarifying questions.
  • Perform responsibilities independently.
  • Provide input into process improvements within the QA function.

Qualifications

  • Overall passion and commitment to QA/testing. 1-3 years of experience.
  • Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other related field of study.
  • Thorough understanding of QA methodologies, concepts, and processes.
  • Strong testing skills with experience in development and execution of test cases.
  • Experience in development and execution of API testing (Postman experience preferred).
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., qTest, JIRA, Quality Center, Tricentis, Tosca)
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and related processes.
  • SQL skills; ability to create queries and experience with Nucleus (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to define test cases and assist less experienced QA personnel with this task.
  • Experience in documenting and reporting defects.
  • Ability to understand requirements/user stories.
  • Software development experience is desirable.
