Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead with expertise in ETL development to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing ETL processes, focusing on improving job performance, resolving issues, and ensuring efficiency in a cloud-based big data environment. This role requires a strong leader with hands-on technical skills who can guide a team of developers, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive innovation in data processing.

The role requires onsite presence once per week initially, with the flexibility to transition to a primarily remote setup once familiarized with the team and processes. Key Responsibilities:
Lead ETL (Ab Initio) development and provide guidance on best practices and performance optimization.
Work closely with ETL developers to review job performance, make recommendations for improvements, and implement optimizations.
Troubleshoot and resolve job failures, especially in Cloudera big data environments, with a focus on minimizing downtime and optimizing job completion times.
Identify inefficiencies in daily data load processes and implement solutions to improve speed and reliability.
Oversee and automate scheduling and execution of jobs using Control-M, enhancing overall ETL and data flow efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, system integrations, and processing workflows.
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in ETL development, with hands-on expertise in Ab Initio, Hadoop, Linux, and Python.
Proven experience in Technical Lead roles, with a track record of successful project execution and problem-solving.
Strong knowledge of Cloudera big data environments and experience in troubleshooting ETL job failures in cloud-based setups.
Expertise in performance optimization for data loads and ETL jobs, with the ability to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
Familiarity with Control-M for job scheduling and automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick and effective decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within a team and guide team members.

Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience in automation of Control-M jobs to streamline ETL processes.
Prior experience in a cloud environment, specifically with Cloudera or other big data platforms.
Advanced knowledge of ETL best practices and data processing frameworks.
Experience working with teams in a hybrid environment, balancing onsite and remote work effectively.
