Environmental Scientist
Vancouver, BC; Saskatoon, SK; Whitehorse, YT; Remote - Full-Time Permanent

About the Role

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the Environmental Scientist is responsible for supporting the delivery of activities related to environmental assessments and permit applications for Ensero projects and clients. This role may also support field-related data collection activities from time to time and support project management activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support activities related to environmental assessments and permit applications for Ensero projects and clients with support from Senior technical SME s.
  • Provide technical support to Ensero projects with regard to environmental compliance, governance and permitting.
  • Supports the writing and development of client proposals and explores business development opportunities in the mining and other sectors.
  • Support summary reporting and technical reporting for internal and external (e.g. regulatory applications) requirements, and generally supports the development of environmental assessment and regulatory applications.
  • Supports Project Managers in coordinating the activities of project teams to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget and with the desired quality.
  • Assists the Project Manager with proposal preparation and costing.
  • Manipulation of digital environmental data and analysis reports.
  • Analyzes and interprets environmental data.
  • Technical communications, including report writing and reviewing.
  • Other related duties as required.

About You

  • Bachelor s degree in a related science (biology, hydrogeology, hydrology, wildlife, geology).
  • 2+ years relevant experience in mining or environmental consulting with knowledge and experience with Yukon or BC s impact assessment and licensing regime for resource development projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
