We are looking for a dynamic and driven candidate who is interested in joining a fast-growing global company in the automotive sector. The Supplier Technical Engineer (STE) is responsible for ensuring that suppliers deliver high-quality materials and components that meet the company s standards and specifications. The STE works closely with suppliers to resolve technical issues, improve process capabilities, and ensure continuous quality improvement. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers. Other responsibilities include:
- Process analysis and planning: Responsible for process analysis and planning of components during the RFQ stage, fixed-point pricing stage, and development stage, evaluating the optimal process route
- Supplier Technical Review: Participate in the TR review of supplier processes and design solutions, and propose and follow up on optimization and improvement plans
- Material development management and support: Responsible for the development and management of product models, and providing technical support to SQE
- VAVE: Explore technical improvements to VAVE proposals and assist in business procurement and SQE execution
To be a qualified candidate you must meet the following:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- More than 5 years of work experience in process planning or mold design
Key to being successful in this role:
- Fluent in English
- Proficient in mastering the IATF16949 quality system and proficiently applying the knowledge of the 5 major manuals to manage the entire supplier process
- Familiar with the quality requirements of automotive parts and customer needs
- Proficient in stamping, injection molding, die-casting, forging and other production processes, with relevant mold design experience, familiar with equipment parameters, proficient in using commonly used software such as Autoform/CAD software/CATIA software/UG software
- Has certain technical difficulty solving ability
- Good communication skills
