We have an opening for a PeopleSoft HCM Functional Consultant for an exciting contract opportunity. The role is fully remote and will involve performing an assessment of Payroll, Time & Labor, and Compensation, along with standard functional business analyst responsibilities. Consultant must have strong functional knowledge of Payroll, Time & Labor, and Compensation. Experience in Public Sector is a plus.

Job Overview:

The PeopleSoft HCM Functional Consultant will be responsible for conducting a thorough assessment of Payroll, Time & Labor, and Compensation modules. The role will also include executing standard functional business analyst duties, collaborating with client teams to streamline processes, automate key functions, and ensure compliance with policies and contracts.

Compensation Module:

  • Review and streamline Rate Codes for hourly incentives (details provided separately).
  • Assess and optimize the annual increase process, including:
    • Across-the-board percentage increases.
    • Step increases for union contract employees.
    • Increases resulting from step rate adjustments without changing steps.
  • Develop processes for mid-year salary increases with different percentages.
  • Automate annual longevity payments, integrating CI updates for Job records and automating one-time payments based on Action/Action Reason.

Time & Labor Module:

  • Utilize CIs to efficiently load configuration tables.
  • Re-assess the implementation of effective dated value lists, considering the work involved in updating custom templates, rules, and testing.
  • Optimize the use of holiday schedules.
  • Audit and improve data compliance with policies and contracts, evaluating better options than extensive rules and queries currently used for auditing.

Payroll Module:

  • Streamline the three-day payday process, focusing on reducing auditing work for Time & Labor data.
  • Automate and optimize manual processes, including union time pools.
  • Address complexities in transfers between 40-hour and 56-hour schedules, ensuring accurate conversion of leave balances and updates to longevity additional pay records.
  • Ensure the auto job code process efficiently handles incentives.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with PeopleSoft HCM, specifically Payroll, Time & Labor, and Compensation.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on process automation and system optimization.
  • Proficient in PeopleSoft configuration, auditing, and compliance management.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in remote consulting roles.
  • Familiarity with effective dated value lists, CI processes, and audit mechanisms.
