Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Job Description:
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is hands on and accountable for one or more large, diverse, and complex projects in the Hyperscale Data Center industry in the areas of information technology, quality improvement, strategic objectives, and goals.
This role requires expert level communication, organization, and critical thinking skills. A self-starter, with the ability to track and manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, is required. The applicant must be well organized, with solid experience providing executive level presentations and status reporting.

Specific responsibilities include:
Works directly with end customer representatives to understand their organization at all facets (business model, processes, and users) and translate their requirements for the internal software development team
Serves as a subject matter expert for their assigned product/project capable of performing demonstrations and explaining features and benefits.
Engages actively in the software development lifecycle for their project performing quality assurance activities as required to ensure quality product delivery for their end customer.
Manages all aspects of projects with direct accountability.
Develops and leads the project team to the delivery of successful project outcomes.
Builds and manages multiple, multi-functional collaborative project and/or work teams.
Coordinates the activities of multi-functional teams, as well as the project budget, task dependencies and schedule.
Scope, risk, and issue management, including documenting, communicating, and facilitating resolutions or mitigation plans.
Develops, initiates, and manages a communication plan, including regular project status reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to translate conceptual thinking into project definitions and requirements.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects with multiple project teams, product development lifecycle, or quality lifecycle.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize work, manage time, and respond effectively to a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to exercise sound political and environmental judgment as appropriate to support successful project implementation. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessing and mitigating risks.
Working familiarity with MS Office 365

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience driving the development of system software solutions to client objectives.
Education and experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
Knowledge of the Data Center and/or Telecommunications industry.
Knowledge of the latest product or software development best-practices and existing quality assurance standards.
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycles.
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred (but not required).
Experience working with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean preferred. Experience managing projects with multiple project teams, product development lifecycle, or quality lifecycle.
