QA Engineer (With AI)

Role: QA Engineer

Location: US (Remote)

Duration: 6 months + option to convert

Key Essential Functions

• Provide technical guidance, input and expertise on the development and enhancement of test automation.
• Mentor a team of Quality Assurance Engineers, Quality Testers, and Usability Analysts as a servant leader by guiding the testing team to be successful.
• Implement continuous development and integration validation processes into our test environments.
• Proven success at being able to quickly research and identify technical solutions to solve problems.
• Collaborate with technical resources to create and maintain technical solutions to ultimately ensure the final products work as intended and meet customer expectations.
• Provide input on enhancing test planning, procedures, test case management and automated test execution.
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise-scale environments supporting one or more of the following: Hybrid public cloud services, production web and Internet communications environment, secure voice and video real-time collaboration, PCI and/or HIPAA audit compliant environment, and smartphone/tablet-based applications.
• Execute test activities on multiple simultaneous projects with competing priorities and provide detailed status of progress.
• Deliver on deadlines based upon commitments to business partners and internal teams.
• Clearly communicate technical feedback on requirements, design, and technical documentation.
• Proactively communicate status, risks, and issues related to testing and quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years progressive, firsthand experience as a test engineer and test lead on major initiatives.
• Proven ability and experience in designing and coding software solutions for web and/or mobile applications and ability to share / demonstrate this in detail.
• Experience executing test initiatives for projects w/in various SDLC methodologies (i.e., Agile, Scrum and Waterfall) and utilization of test execution tools (i.e., Jira, Zephyr Scale, automation tools).
• Demonstrated experience in cross-functional, cross-disciplinary test management for large-scale corporate/enterprise-wide software development projects.
• Experience collaborating and negotiating with Engineers and Solution Architects.
• Skillful at making thoughtful, data-driven recommendations related to ensuring the delivering of quality solutions for internal and external customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with documenting test plans for major initiatives and defining detailed test cases from requirements and technical design specifications including test execution steps and expected results.
• Experience in taking detailed test execution steps and expected results and creating test automation frameworks from scratch for web and mobile applications.
• Excellent business judgment and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.
• Ability to research new technology, learn new coding languages and/or tools quickly, share this knowledge with other team members and implement the solution in our environment.
• Experience in many of the following technologies:
• Atlassian Products: JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo, Zephyr Scale (plug-in)
• Automation Tools: Appium, Selenium Web Driver, TestNG Framework, Eclipse IDE, SOAP UI, SQL, Sikuli, Maven
• Development Languages: Java, Objective-C, Java Script, PHP, Python, Ruby
• Reporting/Analytics via Elasticsearch and Kibana
• Cloud vendor platforms: Salesforce, NICE CXone (inContact), Workday, Verint
• Ability to work across multiple cultures, countries, and with geographically diverse teams.
