Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst Data Warehousing Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in data warehousing to lead requirements gathering, analysis, and design for data-driven projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in business systems analysis, with proven expertise in data warehousing projects and data management best practices in financial Services and preferably Wealth Management. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and data engineers to drive business requirements, optimize data solutions, and enhance our data warehouse to support strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements, document functional specifications, and identify opportunities for data warehousing enhancements.
- Data Analysis & Modeling: Conduct in-depth data analysis, including ETL processes and data flow mapping, to ensure accurate and optimized data structures that align with business needs.
- Solution Design & Validation: Work closely with data engineers and architects to design scalable, efficient, and high-quality data warehousing solutions. Validate deliverables to ensure they meet defined requirements and business expectations.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for data warehousing initiatives, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
- Quality Assurance & UAT: Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performing rigorous QA processes to verify the accuracy and functionality of data solutions.
- Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements, implementing best practices in data privacy and security.
- Documentation & Training: Develop comprehensive documentation for systems and processes and provide training to end-users and stakeholders as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 12+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, with a focus on data warehousing and data management.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, data modeling, and data integration.
- Proficiency with data warehousing platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift) and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend).
- Familiarity with SQL, data querying, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and convert them into functional specifications.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management: Experience managing data-centric projects, meeting deadlines, and leading cross-functional teams.
- Data Governance: Understanding of data governance, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Financial Services or Wealth Management industry will be a big plus
- Industry Experience: Experience within [Industry-specific experience if applicable, e.g., finance, healthcare] is a plus.
- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
