POSITION OVERVIEW :
Experienced SAP Data Migration Lead to drive data migration for a large scale SAP deployment. Deep understanding of SAP systems, extensive experience in data migration processes, and strong leadership skills are necessary. Key Responsibilities:
Lead Data Migration Efforts: Oversee all aspects of data migration activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
Data Strategy Development: Design and implement data migration strategies, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) methodologies. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to gather requirements and ensure data readiness for migration.
Data Quality Assurance: Conduct data assessments and cleansing activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the migration process.
Testing and Validation: Manage the testing phases, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate data post-migration and address any discrepancies.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data migration processes, including data mapping, transformation rules, and migration plans.
Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders, facilitating training sessions on data migration best practices. Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data migration, specifically within SAP ECC environments. - Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality management principles.
- Proven experience leading data migration projects and managing cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
