  • Manage Front Range Environmental Restoration Program activities at multiple sites.
  • Prepare letters, plans, scopes of work and other program documents to provide clear communication to regulators, other stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Serves as a project manager for assigned component organization.
  • Develops detailed remediation strategies, design drawings, and construction specifications for CERCLA/RCRA-related activities and facilities.
  • Prepares and issues final implementation plans for CERCLA/RCRA-related activities and coordinates execution and operation of CERCLA/RCRA-related activities.
  • Provides overall directions, coordination, and control of assigned projects to ensure execution consistent with environmental requirements of the Front Range Installation Restoration Program.
  • Serves as a liaison with Federal, state, and local agencies as required.
  • Manages technical and cost aspects of contracts in the role of Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR).
  • Monitors project reviews and based on these reviews, adjusts funding, schedules, and work for accomplishing the project.
  • Resolves any relationship problems or conflicts that impede progress and ensure that contractor, Federal, state, local agencies, and government personnel work effectively toward timely completion of the project.
  • Reviews plans, designs, and specifications for proposed modification of existing or construction of new facilities.
  • Visits other Front Range installations to determine efficiency of existing facilities and equipment and assess methods and practices involved in, or planned for, the operation and maintenance of such facilities.
  • Develops specialized engineering analyses and solutions to technical and maintenance problems.
  • Establishes operation and maintenance standards for new or unusual installation activities having an adverse impact on natural resources, health, and the environment.
