Responsibilities
The service and maintenance of Fire Alarm systems and their components to ensure proper functionality.
Service and troubleshoot systems to diagnose problems and identify solutions.
Ensure customers understand the functionality of their system.
Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.
Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices.
Open-minded willingness to continue learning.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and core values.
Any other duties deemed appropriate by management.
Skills:
commercial electrical, fire alarm, low voltage, cable puller, alarm install, cabling, nicet, panel installation, installation, cat 6, j-hooks, wall fishing
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
4+ years in servicing and troubleshooting commercial Fire Alarm systems.
Troubleshoot Fire Alarm systems to repair ground faults, open circuits and short circuits and addressable and conventional systems.
Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
Experience with electronic testing devices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
Valid driver's license
Preferred
**NICET II, III, or IIII
Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage or Security experience.
Fire Alarm Manufacturer certifications.
Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Basic understanding of IT functionality
Candidates with Michigan Fire Alarm Certifications or candidates willing to get this certification are strongly preferred!!
