Overview
The Power Platform Developer plays a pivotal role in transforming business processes through innovative solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Dataverse. This position is critical in enabling digital transformation within the organization, providing tools that enhance productivity and streamline operations. By leveraging no-code and low-code development technologies, the developer is tasked with creating applications that solve specific business problems and meet user needs. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to identify requirements, design solutions, and ensure effective deployment and support. This role not only contributes to improving operational efficiency but also supports a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This is a W2 contract position open to local candidates in Texas, Ohio, or Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop applications using Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Integrate various data sources into Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Implement API integrations with other systems.
  • Create automated workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Perform testing and quality assurance on all developed solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications.
  • Document development processes and create user guidance.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to deploy applications effectively.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power Platform features and best practices.
  • Train end-users and provide technical support.
  • Participate in code reviews and suggest improvements.
  • Assist in the development of data models and dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and security policies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Power Platform development.
  • Strong knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Proficiency in C# and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and database management.
  • Experience in API integration and web services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Understanding of security best practices in application development.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform (preferred).
  • Local residency in TX, OH, or MN.
  • Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies as required.
