We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr Web UX Developer in Houston, Texas. This role is primarily involved in the tech industry, where you will be responsible for managing CMS migration, web content, developing new websites, and optimizing our online presence.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain our company's websites and sub-sites, ensuring optimal use of content management systems such as Modern Campus, Cascade CMS, WordPress, HTML, JavaScript, and various databases.
Address web-related service requests and provide consultations, including conducting CMS training for the Marketing Coordinator and Content Managers as needed.
Design and manage web forms and front desk kiosk to enhance the university s online functionality.
Perform administrative tasks such as account management, navigation, template management, and ensuring web accessibility.
Analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics using tools such as Google Analytics.
Develop and implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to maximize our online presence.
Design and develop user flows, User-Interface (UI) wireframes, storyboards, and other artifacts for new website development.
Oversee user research, usability testing, and design testing for projects.
Manage mobile app content, including creating new apps and updating content.
Handle live streaming/event recording and manage related webpages along with video content.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Please note that the skills required for this role include proficiency in Content Management System (CMS), CMS Platform, Wordpress CMS, JavaScript, Web Design, Web Development, Web Accessibility, and Web Content Management.
EXPERIENCE WITH MODERN CAMPUS IS A PLUS!!!
Applicant must have at least 2 years of experience with migration of CMS.
Proficiency in Content Management System (CMS), CMS Platform, and Wordpress CMS is essential.
Strong knowledge and experience in JavaScript is required.
Must have skills in Web Design and Web Development.
Familiarity and understanding of Web Accessibility standards and practices.
Experience with Web Content Management is required.
Applicant should have experience in Server Migration.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
