Requirements

The Sales Team

The ESG Book Sales team is responsible for communicating ESG Book's products to interested parties. We originate new opportunities and develop existing relationships with clients and our strategic partners. Our clients include Financial Institutions, Consultants and Corporates.

To be effective we must understand the mechanics of our product offerings in depth and effectively communicate this to interested parties. We hire individuals who are passionate about sustainability and who bring an entrepreneurial mindset. We look to think outside the box and value creativity and initiative.

The role:

We are looking to hire a Sales Associate Director to join the ESG Book team in the US. As a Sales Associate Director, you will be responsible and accountable for driving growth across the US region but also other opportunistic regions, from business development to executing sales. In turn, you will gain a deep understanding of our firm, our philosophy, and the dynamics of our products. You will collaborate closely with the Research and Product teams and the wider ESG Book to deliver for our clients and strategic partners.

Your role will involve:

  • Driving the sales strategy to expand our presence in the North American market, focusing on Business Development, acting as a Key Account Manager, and ensuring Customer Success.
  • Identifying new business opportunities through calling, email, LinkedIn, upselling, marketing leads, partnerships, and conference attendance.
  • Managing the full sales lifecycle, including prospecting, discovery, demonstrations, proposals, and pricing negotiations.
  • Representing ESG Book in engagements with banks, financial institutions, and corporates to present our solutions.
  • Educating clients about Sustainability/ESG and the resources available through ESG Book.
  • Enhancing outreach and sustainability efforts in collaboration with Product and Marketing for strategic content and partnerships.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to strategize and oversee key accounts, raising awareness of ESG Book s offerings.
  • Integrating market intelligence to tailor ESG Book s offerings to client needs while initiating targeted sales campaigns for key decision-makers.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about sustainability with a motivation to influence and advance industry standards.
  • Client-focused mindset with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships across a diverse range of prestigious financial institutions.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience directly targeting financial institutions, preferably in roles focused on sustainability or financial data solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in a leading regional role for large-scale institutional sales with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to independently manage your schedule and lead initiatives as an entrepreneur within our team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
