Network Engineer

Job Title: Network and Data Services Administrator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all data services for the company, including WiFi, LAN, WAN hardware, software, and monitoring systems.
• Manage all voice communication services, including SIP, VOIP, and PSTN systems.
• Ensure network security standards are met and maintained.
• Provide connectivity support for network, video, and security equipment.
• Offer recommendations to management on performance and capacity planning.
• Prepare or supervise the preparation of equipment and application specifications, solicit quotations, select vendors, place orders, and oversee the installation and integration of equipment and applications.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all systems to serve as primary support for users and IT team members.
• Develop and enforce procedures and controls to ensure high reliability, data security, and system availability, including scheduled updates, inspections, and equipment maintenance.
• Document and maintain procedures for system and data recovery to address human error, hardware/software failures, or significant disasters.
• Create detailed documentation to enable other IT department members to provide operational support as needed.
• Review, analyze, and assess business systems and user needs to provide effective solutions.

Education and Experience:

• Required: At least 3 years of relevant work experience, including two years of recent hands-on experience with the company's hardware and software. An Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: Relevant industry certifications for network, voice, video, and security equipment and experience in IT specific to the natural gas industry.
