Position:API Integration Architect

Pay Rate:$74.00 per hour (W2 Only)

HYBRID: MUST be able to work ONSITE 2 day a week (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)

API Integration Architect is responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing API solutions across various industries.

PROJECT TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

Project Development Support:
Meet with application teams to understand requirements and recommend high-level direction and approach to upcoming projects.
Design the integration of application with various front end and backend applications while enforcing enterprise level webservice standards like Authentication ,securing PII data, controlling Data transmission between different integration points.
Develop and maintained web services to support business operations and third-party integrations.
Play a key role in the migration of legacy systems to cloud-based solutions on AWS.
Architect MicroServices-based systems on AWS, enhancing system flexibility and performance.
Manage API lifecycle providing centralized control over API traffic, security, and analytics.
Attend ARB meetings to understand the new project requirements, as related to API and Integration design, build and implementation solutions.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process and reduce time-to-market. Implemented API security protocols, including OAuth 2.0 and JWT, to safeguard sensitive data.

Inter/Intra Organizational Communication:
Must understand and implement organizational policies and procedures related to the administration of the API and MFT environments.
Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with team manager to understand Business Plans and Organization QCD metrics.
Provide Status reports to team manager; Budget/finance status, project status, etc.
Build and maintain good relations with other teams by fostering open communication between the application and API-MFT teams.
Track job/process failures (sev-1/2) and conduct appropriate PDCA associated to all failures and 4-Block analysis, documentation and presentation.
Track portfolio growth, including; API management, application counts, etc.

Security and Compliance of the API environment:
Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Spearhead the adoption of API Gateway for centralized management of API traffic, improving security and monitoring capabilities.
Implement API security protocols, including OAuth 2.0, JWT and SSL/TLS, to safeguard sensitive data.
Monitor and report on file transfer activities, identifying and addressing potential security risks and compliance issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
7+ years of designing, developing, and implementing API solutions across various industries.
Adept at leveraging Cloud technologies, Microservices architecture, and best practices in API management to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Should have knowledge of cloud computing concepts.
Must have a experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders to drive technical innovation and achieve business objectives.
Skilled in leveraging industry-leading MF platforms to enhance data security, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Other Job-Specific Skill:
Strong technical knowledge of various API related to technologies (Data Power, Rest API, ACE IBM Cloudpak, Kafka etc.) their administration, architecture/design, analysis and management.
Knowledge of MFT related technologies (Exa: Axway MFT, Goanywhere, etc.) their administration, architecture/design, analysis and management is desirable.
Extensive application support experience working with application teams.
High-level understanding of IT infrastructure planning and development.
Excellent understanding of the organization s goals and objectives.
In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Good understanding of Project Management skills.

DESIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor s degree in information systems (IS), Computer Science, software engineering, information technology and/or equivalent industry experience.
Knowledge of Managed File Transfers
Exposure to Cloud/Hybrid environment (OpenShift/AWS/VMWare) development
Automotive industry IT knowledge
