Description
The Project Manager role will focus on global ERP Deployment projects. The role reports to the IT Director, Global ERP. The role will be based out of Mississauga, Ontario and will require travel (appx. 25 %) across sites in North America.
The Project Manager will be part of the ERP global project leadership team and work closely with Business Process Owners, Business Analysts, the development team, and IT Management to ensure projects progress along agreed timelines and meet the key success criteria. ERP platforms in scope include Microsoft Dynamic Business Central, Oracle JD Edwards, and SAP.
Key Responsibilities
Create a detailed Project Plan for the ERP deployment project
Manage execution of the project plan
Lead internal project team consisting of key business stakeholders, subject matter experts, business analysts and technical teams
Manage and guide the System Integrator and other partners
Report regularly on the status of the ERP solution and its readiness
Assist the Director, Global ERP in managing the technical and organizational project dependencies as needed
Manage the conversion of data from source systems
Manage the integration of specific source systems
Qualifications
Project Management certification, preferably PMI PMP
Experienced in complex international projects
Extensive experience in ERP implementation projects
Experienced with SDLC methodology running projects from Requirement Gathering, Design, Testing, and Documentation Training through Implementation and Post Live Support
A university degree is required
Knowledge of and/or experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM) is an advantage
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Proficiency in business English
Training and facilitation skills
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Experience using MS SharePoint, MS Project
Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines; changing course and direction as needed
Ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus
Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
Ability to motivate/manage a team of 10-15 direct reports
Ability to manage a team with a diversity of cultures and people in remote locations and to stimulate collaboration in such an environment
Proven success at managing change projects with the ability to problem solve at a detailed level and keep a helicopter view
Self-motivated and driven approach with strong result orientation
