Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to develop and maintain automation testing for client-server applications. This contract-to-hire role provides an opportunity to join a dynamic team and offers growth into a fully remote position after a proven track record. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional scrum teams to design, develop, and enhance test automation, ensuring product quality and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation tests using C# for client-server applications.
  • Collaborate closely with scrum teams and product owners to identify test cases for automation.
  • Report and coordinate test failures, communicating progress, metrics, and results with key stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve test automation processes, frameworks, and overall testing quality to meet evolving project needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a QA automation role within an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills in C#, utilizing Visual Studio IDE.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., WinAppDriver, TestStack White, Selenium).
  • Proficiency in SQL Server (complex joins, inserts, updates).
  • Knowledge of test case and build management tools, preferably TFS.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or TFVS.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction across teams and with management.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with automated testing for client-server applications.
  • Knowledge in API testing.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a mindset to develop creative, innovative solutions.
