The Lead Analyst for the Payments Command Center is a key role responsible for overseeing the analysis, reporting, and optimization of payment processes within the command center. This individual will play a critical part in monitoring real-time payment activities, identifying and addressing issues, and ensuring that the command center operates efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities

Real-Time Monitoring & Analysis:
Oversee the real-time monitoring of payment transactions, ensuring timely detection and resolution of issues.
Analyze payment flows to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks that could impact the command center's performance.

Incident Management & Resolution:
Lead the analysis of high-severity incidents, providing detailed insights and root cause analysis to guide resolution efforts.
Collaborate with operational teams to ensure swift remediation of payment issues, minimizing customer impact.

Data Analytics & Reporting:
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into payment transaction volumes, success rates, failure rates, and other key metrics.
Conduct deep-dive analysis into payment data to uncover opportunities for optimization and process improvements.
Prepare and present analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Process Improvement:
Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities to improve payment processes and reduce the occurrence of issues such as duplicate payments or transaction delays.
Partner with technology and operations teams to enhance the command center's data analytics and monitoring tools.

Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure payment processes comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Monitor and assess risks related to payment processing, developing strategies to mitigate potential impacts on the command center.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, compliance, and risk, to support enterprise-wide payment initiatives.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred or 10+ years in a banking institution

Experience:
5+ years of experience in payments, financial services, or a similar field, with a strong background in data analysis and process improvement.
Experience working in a command center or operations environment is highly desirable.
Proven track record in leading analytical projects and driving impactful process changes.

Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Excel).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of payment systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across various levels of the organization.
