The Business Office Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the business office by managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll duties. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll, including data entry, processing payments, and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and process resident statements, payments, and invoices.
- Maintain resident and vendor files and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and supporting audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
- Communicate with residents and their families to assist with billing and account information.
- Provide clerical support, including answering phones and sorting mail.
- Associate Degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts receivable, accounts payable, or payroll.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word; experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
