Job Summary:
The ERP Programmer Analyst will be responsible for assisting in implementation, support, and continuous improvement of our ERP system, specifically as it relates to the Fashion Apparel & Accessories industry. This role requires a deep understanding of apparel manufacturing, supply chain management, and retail operations in an Omni-Channel sales and distribution environment. The ideal candidate will work closely and collaboratively with various departments to ensure the ERP system meets the company s operational and strategic goals while maintaining industry standards and best practices. This is a hybrid role that requires 2 3 days per week in our corporate office located in Fairhaven, MA.
Key Responsibilities:
- ERP System Management: Manage ERP applications using ERP development tools to support, enhance and maintain the system. Oversee the day-to-day operation of the ERP system, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Implementation & Upgrades: Lead the implementation of new ERP modules, system upgrades and enhancement projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Integration management: Implement, manage and troubleshoot EDI communication between vendors, customers and the ERP system ensuring seamless data flow.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
- User Support & Training: Provide regular support and training to end-users, ensuring they are proficient in using best practices within the ERP system.
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the ERP system, performing regular maintenance and updates, as necessary.
- Reporting & Analysis: Develop and generate reports using SQL query language to provide insights into business performance and support decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, supply chain, and retail, to align ERP functionality with business needs.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues or bugs within the ERP system in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or experience gained through a minimum of 5 years previous employment as an ERP Systems or Programmer Analyst.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an ERP Systems/Programmer Analyst, preferably in the fashion apparel industry. Optimally with 2-4 years experience with CGS Blue Cherry ERP system applications.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operational knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and strong understanding of database management and SQL programming language. Preferential consideration given to candidates with previous experience using Microsoft Business Central, Blue Cherry ERP or other Apparel-based ERP system.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of apparel manufacturing, supply chain management, and Omni-Channel sales and distribution for wholesale & retail operations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Experience with data analytics platforms such as Power BI and cube-based data warehouses.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams both remotely and in-person.
- Project Management: Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Work Ethic: Be a self-starter and able to manage multiple projects/issues working independently as well as within a team environment. Have a strong sense of accountability with the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment where needs/requirements can change abruptly.
