Systems SW Simulation Engineer

Job Posting Summary:
Collaborates with subsystem and software engineers to integrate models and algorithms into 6-Degree of Freedom simulations for system survivability, flight safety, and end-to-end assessment in aerospace applications.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics
• Proficiency in C++ and FORTRAN with experience in 6-Degree of Freedom simulation
• Experience with Aerospace Applications
• Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python
• Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment
• Ability to travel for up to two weeks at a time to support flight tests
• Experience integrating and testing hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL) environments
• Familiarity with linear algebra, probability and statistics, state dynamic equations, Kalman filter applications, kinematics, and rotating coordinate systems
• Active Secret clearance required to start

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB and C++ models of various systems into 6-DOF Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS)
• Perform modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), and simulation analyses for kill chain assessment
• Support Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL) labs using simulations to verify performance requirements
• Assist with integration and testing of hardware and software in HWIL environments
• Participate in flight test prediction and data performance analysis for flight tests

Pay Details: $70.00 to $80.00 per hour
