Chipton-Ross is seeking an NDT Quality Test Specialist 3 for an opening at NAS Lemoore, CA.
*This position is 100% ONSITE.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is seeking an NDT Quality Test Specialist (CU) with a background in Aircraft Structures with Non-Destructive Testing experience in Lemoore CA. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Providing assurance of the Field Operations QMS and its related processes through active engagement with other functions supporting aircraft maintenance activities.
o Performs setup for specialized non-destructive Eddy current testing (ECT), and Mobile Automated Scanner System (MAUS) inspections utilizing test or measurement equipment to controlled standards.
o Performance of audits referenced by 4790.2 Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) aviation maintenance programs.
o Supporting colleagues within other functions with development of processes / procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to Client Pols/Pros.
o Perform Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
o Supporting Safety / Quality investigations (as directed by Lead / Manager).
o Non-Conformance Management and inputting data into Client software tools.
o Active participation within Continuous Improvement / Lean initiatives.
o Assist with metrics development supporting the wider Field Operations QMS.
o Attend required meetings and present associated metrics for review.
o Assists in the documentation of procedures for setting up test equipment.
o Analyzes routine test, inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity Assists with standard corrective action recommendations.
o Documents and communicates standard test, analysis or measurement results.
o Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results.
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified NAS 410 Mobile Automated Scanner System (MAUS).
- Certified NAS 410 Eddy current testing (ECT).
- 5+ years of experience with NDT Quality Testing.
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- An understanding and previous experience of AS9100 Quality Assurance Management system.
- Capable of traveling on an as needed basis (up to 25% of the time).
- Ability to work variable shifts (i.e., scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload.
DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- An AA degree in related NDT discipline and typically 5 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in aircraft heavy maintenance.
- 5+ years' experience maintaining F/A-18E/F, Aircraft Logs, and Records Books IAW 4790.2.
- 5+ years' experience with COMNAVAIRINST 4790.2 Series quality assurance programs such as FOD and Tool Control.
- 5+ years of experience working with composites and non-porous metals, such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless.
- 5+ years of experience working with schematics, specifications, engineering drawings and standard operating procedures.
- 5+ years of experience using structures hand tools such as: drills 45 and 90 degrees, pancake adapters, counter sink cages, hole finders, and rivet guns.
- 5+ years of experience working heavy structures: locating, drilling, countersinking and fastening structures (i.e., doublers, stringers, webs, seat tracks, etc.) to aircraft.
EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
