Remote US-Based (Central Region - Midwest Preferred Some Travel Required)

6 Months+ Contract to Hire

Approx. $50-55 per Hour W2

Conversion Around $100k-105k Yearly

General Purpose/Job Summary

The Sales Engineer Mitel plays a critical role in supporting the sales process by providing technical expertise, designing solutions, and delivering quotes within a CPQ system. This position requires a deep understanding of Mitel Voice Systems and the ability to translate client business needs into effective solutions. The role involves close collaboration with sales teams, clients, and internal technical resources to ensure the delivery of tailored, high-quality solutions.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Technical Pre-Sales Support

    • Engage with sales teams and clients to understand business requirements and design tailored Mitel solutions.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations.
    • Provide detailed technical specifications and architectural designs.
  • Quotation and CPQ System Management

    • Utilize CPQ systems to generate accurate and timely quotes for Mitel solutions.
    • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure quotes align with customer needs and business objectives.
    • Manage and update pricing and configurations within the CPQ system.
  • Solution Design and Implementation Support

    • Design and propose Mitel solutions, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with client needs.
    • Support the implementation process, offering guidance on best practices and resolving technical challenges.
    • Assist in software and hardware configuration and optimization for client environments.
  • Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on Mitel solutions.
    • Provide proactive technical guidance to optimize clients' voice networks.
    • Conduct assessments of clients environments and offer strategic recommendations.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship

    • Develop and maintain documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
    • Mentor Level 1 and 2 support teams, fostering knowledge transfer and skills development.
  • Continuous Improvement

    • Stay current with Mitel product advancements and industry best practices.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance service delivery.
    • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure high availability of services.

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Mitel UCC products, including MiVoice Business, MiCollab, and MiContact Center.
  • Proficiency in using CPQ systems for quote generation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong mentoring and leadership abilities.

Required Education, Training, and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Mitel products, including installation and support.
  • Proven experience in pre-sales engineering and using CPQ systems.

Optional Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in IT or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications in areas such as routing, switching, network security, virtualization, or MS Teams.
