We are seeking a highly skilled Application & Design Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in supporting our customers in the semiconductor industry by providing excellent elastomer designs, sealing solutions and material analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical fundamental knowledge and CAD skills, a solid understanding of elastomer materials, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, as well as a formidable mindset to capture market share with company branded products and solutions.

Mechanical Design and CAD: Utilize advanced CAD software to create detailed drawings of elastomer seals and related components, following strictly to industry standards and customer specifications, as well as considerations with common practices of manufacturing and operation cost.
Material Analysis: Conduct comprehensive material analysis to assess the performance of elastomer seals in various semiconductor applications. Prepare and present analytical reports that detail findings and recommendations.
Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and providing expert guidance on product applications and best practices. Lead in technical training and presentation both on-site and virtually. Expect travel with senior or sales team (10-20%) includes both domestic and international.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and quality assurance, to develop tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, material data sheets, and user manuals to support the sales process and customer understanding.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and product innovations to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Self-motivated research and keep up pace with the latest technology and trends in the semiconductor market.
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering field.
Proficient in mechanical CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) with a strong portfolio of design work & modeling principles.
Strong understanding of materials and physical properties, as well as commonly used material testing methodologies.
Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach, able to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to analyze data and generate insightful reports that drive decision-making.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience (3+ years) in mechanical design and application engineering within the semiconductor industry and/or elastomer, polymer design/manufacturing.
Experience (1+ years) in a field support or application/sales engineer role with intense customer engagement and onsite presence in Fabs/OEM facilities.
Proficient skill in Finite Element methods & analysis tool (I.e. ABAQUS, Solidwork Simulation) including experience in modeling polymer/elastomer behavior, material fatigue/stress response, thermal conductivity/expansion.
Strong fundamental knowledge of elastomer material science and properties, particularly in semiconductor related processes and applications.
Bilingual (especially Mandarin Chinese) is a plus.
