Leidos Dig Mod Health IT division is seeking an Sr. Network Infrastructure Architect on a large network services opportunity supporting a health agency in the Bethesda, MD area.
The Sr. Network Infrastructure Architect position is a highly visible strategic position to manage a team of highly experienced network engineers to deliver high availability network services to a health agency. This position will provide management and oversight for network engineering activities in support of multiple enterprise networks, all with high availability requirements. The manager is responsible for planning and coordinating all network architecture activities and projects and drafting project proposals. This position also collaborates with customer stakeholders to set priorities for the architecture team. The person in this position will work directly with the program manager, project managers, team leads, and external NIH teams.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide overall direction of Architecture project activities, manage and maintain program interface with the customer's organization, consult with customer and program personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensure conformance with project task schedules, costs, and contractual obligations
- Research the latest information technology network architecture trends
- Plan, prioritize and coordinate implementation of new network architecture projects
- Manage the network architecture team to complete ongoing activities
- Provide oversight and report on progress of network architecture projects
- Actively engage with other organizations within Leidos on collaboration efforts that ensure that we deliver the best product and solutions to a health agency
- Provide technical oversight, mentoring, and development of staff and succession planning for the network architecture team
- Demonstrate thought leadership to achieve a high degree of customer affinity and maintain the growth of a positive Leidos brand recognition within the agency
- Through personal example, set the tone and direction for moral and ethical leadership for the program. Continue to build a culture grounded in the Leidos values, beliefs, and expectations and highest standards of ethical and respectful behavior
- Ability to provide onsite support regularly.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline.
- 12-15-plus years of experience working in network services supporting routing and switching in LAN/WAN, Data Center, and Wireless environments.
- Ten (10) plus years working in a supervisory or manager role.
- Minimum three (3) experience as lead network architect for a medium to large government IT Infrastructure project with 24x7 mission support requirements.
- Two (2) experience architecting cloud solutions.
- Experience in leading teams of 5-15 people and financial responsibility exceeding $25M annually on FFP and T&M contract types.
- Have a CCNP or CCIE certification.
- Demonstrated experience with network design and development; data center services; network backbone services; Internet Service Provider (ISP) Services; voice over IP (VoIP) services; and wireless networks.
- Experience with IP Address Management (IPAM) Services and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) systems.
- Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the highest levels of management.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active PMP certification.
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
- Experience using ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management.
- Experience managing Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) Services.
- Demonstrated current and significant relationships with health agencies or comparable civil government executives and mid-level managers, particularly in IT operations, network, and security services.
