Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Technology Project Manager (PM) to join our team and work with our client. The projects this PM will be overseeing are focused on Workday provider payroll integrations and related system enhancements and will be responsible for developing robust project plans to optimize the client's Workday systems, enhancing payroll capabilities, and ensuring the successful integration of required applications. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the project, from inception through completion, to deliver solutions that streamline payroll processes and improve system interoperability. The ideal candidate must be focused and proactive.
Duties:
Develop detailed, cross-functional project plans to ensure successful implementation of technology products and services for new and existing client program needs.
Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources, managing deliverables to completion.
Address risks related to project interdependencies across functional areas.
Foster collaboration, create project structure, and build consensus to drive successful outcomes.
Coordinate and lead project meetings, sharing updates, identifying challenges, and delivering regular reports to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and solutions.
Manage change requests and interventions to meet project objectives.
Conduct project evaluations, document outcomes, capture lessons learned, and plan follow-up actions.
Track internal client requests, providing efficiency improvements as needed.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute strategies, holding team members accountable to the project plan.
Ensure adherence to project management best practices and standards.
Work across departments and with leadership to enhance processes.
Mandatory Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
4+ years managing complex, high-impact technology projects, including experience integrating SDLC into project planning. Familiarity with Medicaid financial management services is a plus.
Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
Knowledge of waterfall, agile, and hybrid project methodologies.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to lead projects through ambiguity to achieve clear, strategic outcomes.
Effective written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
Expertise in Workday payroll systems and integration methodologies.
Desired Qualifications
PMP certification preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in place of certification.
Prior experience in Medicaid financial management services is a benefit.
