Role: Node Backend Developer
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 3-4 month Contract - Possible extensions.
We are in search of a seasoned API Developer to spearhead our team's integration efforts. As the API Developer, you will help to drive and direct the team of throughout the development and your expertise in API Development, Node.js, and Typescript will be crucial in ensuring a seamless integration.
Responsibilities:
- design and development of APIs using Node.js and TypeScript, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
- Integrate APIs from various vendors into a facade pattern to serve the front-end side of the application, while also overseeing the team's integration efforts.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure that APIs are scalable, secure, and thoroughly documented, while also overseeing the team's adherence to these standards.
- Optimize API performance and troubleshoot issues proactively, leveraging your expertise to guide the team through challenges as they arise.
- Take on leadership responsibilities within the team, including facilitating meetings, mentoring junior developers, and coordinating tasks
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, providing guidance to the team on adopting best practices in API development.
Requirements:
- Proven expertise in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development, with a track record of successful API implementations.
- Extensive experience in API development, demonstrating a deep understanding of design patterns, security protocols, and scalability principles.
- Strong familiarity with cloud platforms, with a preference for experience in Azure. or AWS
- Leadership experience or a strong willingness to take on leadership responsibilities within a development team.
- Experience with test driven development and unit testing using Jest.
- Experience with Azure Functions and API Manager.
- Experience with cand Open API specifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and version control systems like GitHub Actions
- Prior involvement in projects requiring the integration of APIs across multiple vendors, highlighting your ability to navigate complex integration challenges.
- Experience with GitHub CoPilot
