ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST
Job Description:
We are seeking a Part-time Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to perform a variety of accounting and administrative services. Responsibilities will primarily focus on financial and project accounting functions related to both accounts payable and receivable. The candidate will need to incorporate multi-tasking skills, display the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, be attentive to detail, and work as part of a team while taking ownership of responsibilities. This position requires routine coordination with clients, vendors, and internal managers. The preferred candidate will have an associate degree in accounting or related field or 4 5 years of related work experience and familiarity with Oracle NetSuite accounting software. Estimated 25 hours per week in a hybrid work environment. While some flexibility is available, reliability and consistency are required.
The primary duties include:
- Review and processing of subcontractor and vendor invoices and payments
- Maintaining good vendor and client relations
- Client project invoicing on time/expense and fixed price projects
- Reconciling client invoices with client, contractor, and internal time reports
- Collections and preparing aging reports
- Client payment reconciliation & application, including any discounts taken
- Accounting files retention
- Provide other accounting and administrative support as required
Other skill sets:
- Intermediate level in Excel and Word
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid work ethic
- Strong organizational skills
- Initiative and self-direction
- Sensitivity to confidential material
