Job Description:
We are hiring an experienced Enterprise Systems Support Specialist to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee to join our team. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on enterprise-wide monitoring tools and processes used by the client. The role will involve collaborating with technical specialists, agency teams, and external vendors to implement actionable monitoring strategies and reporting solutions. You will also play a key role in transforming person-centric processes into structured, repeatable, and highly documented automated workflows, as well as managing and continuous improvement of key monitoring and operational procedures including changes, incident reporting, and problem resolution. responsible for evaluating, preparing, and implementing technical solutions for on-prem and cloud-based applications and technology resource. The position will develop and maintain standard operating procedures(SOPs) and ensure consistent communication strategies to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for enterprise monitoring systems, including System Center Operations Manager, SolarWinds, SightLine, SquaredUp, and Azure Monitor.
- Work closely with internal teams, including NOC (Network Operations Center) and IT service management teams, as well as vendors, to implement and maintain monitoring solutions.
- Interpret, process, and report monitoring data to create meaningful business and operational dashboards.
- Drive the transformation of informal, person-dependent processes into formal, structured, and automated workflows.
- Create, document, and maintain automation scripts for both on-premises and cloud environments using PowerShell, REST, SOAP, and JSON API calls.
- Develop and document operational procedures and workflows, ensuring alignment with organizational best practices.
- Maintain, patch, and troubleshoot existing and future monitoring tools to ensure smooth performance and minimize downtime.
- Ensure monitoring tools are integrated with relevant endpoints, and troubleshoot connectivity issues as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and identify improvements to existing monitoring tools and processes to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Incident Manager and Change Manager to standardize and document incident and problem resolution processes.
- Monitor and manage incident resolution timelines to ensure timely service restoration and root cause analysis.
- Manage operational responses and documentation for NOC teams, ensuring all actions are logged and tracked in line with incident management best practices.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all relevant operational processes.
- Ensure that process documentation is organized, accessible, and kept up to date for future reference.
- Develop and manage distribution lists for both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear, consistent communication regarding changes, incidents, and problem management.
- Design and review disaster recovery plans for the network infrastructure, participating in updates and testing exercises.
- Participate in enterprise change management meetings to ensure that network infrastructure changes are properly coordinated and do not impact service delivery.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a SolarWinds Administrator, including installation, configuration, and deployment.
- 5+ years of experience with Ansible administration and deployment.
- 3+ years of experience with Azure Log Analytics and monitoring solutions.
- 8+ years of experience as an MS Windows Server Administrator, including deployment and troubleshooting.
- 3+ years of experience as a Linux Server Administrator.
- 5+ years of experience in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
- 3+ years of experience in Incident Management, with a focus on enterprise-scale environments.
- Extensive experience in automation and process improvement, with the ability to create structured, repeatable workflows.
- In-depth knowledge of monitoring tools and platforms such as SolarWinds, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), SightLine, SquaredUp, and Azure Monitor.
- Strong proficiency in creating and maintaining monitoring solutions for on-prem and cloud-based applications.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with ServiceNow or other IT service management tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, SolarWinds Certified Professional, ITIL) are a plus.
