Position: The Oracle Database Engineer will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Oracle databases in both Non-RAC and RAC environments. The role includes tasks such as database performance tuning, implementing Oracle Data Guard, and working with cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle database management and infrastructure support, with a focus on modernized architecture such as hybrid cloud.

SCOPE OF SERVICES:
As an Oracle Database Engineer, your responsibilities include:
  • Installing, configuring, customizing, and supporting Oracle databases in Non-RAC and RAC environments.
  • Implementing Grid Infrastructure release 19c on Unix/Linux platforms.
  • Managing Oracle ASM cluster Filesystems, including adding new disks to ASM disk groups.
  • Patching grid infrastructure and Oracle RDBMS.
  • Setting up Oracle database security environments.
  • Performing DB performance tuning and RMAN backups.
  • Developing UNIX shell scripts and automating tasks using Ansible.
  • Working on large-scale projects such as migrations and implementing new features.
  • Configuring GoldenGate replication and Oracle RAC/ASM technologies on Redhat Linux.
  • Configuring Oracle Data Guard in Active and Standby modes.
  • Assisting developers and end-users in adopting best practices and addressing performance issues.
  • Ensuring databases meet Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
  • Leading efforts to adopt hybrid cloud architecture and modernized database solutions.
  • Performing root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing disaster recovery designs.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.
  • Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in database engineering.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Experience implementing/managing Oracle Databases in a RAC environment with at least 2 years of production support.
  • Experience with Grid Infrastructure release 19c or higher on Redhat Linux.
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing ASM cluster Filesystems.
  • Experience patching grid infrastructure and familiarity with Oracle database resource manager.
  • Expertise in Ansible/automation/scripting.
  • Experience supporting high-availability production databases.
  • Strong knowledge of configuring/supporting Oracle Active Data Guard.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience with Oracle Advanced Security Option is highly desirable.
