We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Technology Application Specialist to support the operations of our restaurants and pizza shops. This role combines administrative tasks with IT responsibilities, ensuring that our technology systems are running smoothly while also assisting with various Operational and Marketing functions.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and building out marketing campaigns and promotions on the Paytronix platform, ensuring seamless integration and support across the organization.

You will be the key liaison between IT, Marketing and Operations, leveraging the Paytronix system to maximize its value for customer engagement, loyalty, and promotional campaigns.

You will work closely with the Toast and Xtra Chef applications to maximize its use and ensure reporting is updated and flowing properly.

The ideal candidate must be organized, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

1. IT Support & Maintenance:

  • Assist in the management and maintenance of all point-of-sale systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software issues promptly
  • Maintain the Toast, Xtra Chef, and Paytronix platform, ensuring their optimal performance and integration with other business systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to Toast, Xtra Chef, and Paytronix, working closely with their support help desks to provide timely solutions.
  • Monitor the health and functionality of Toast, Xtra Chef, and Paytronix integrations, including data flows between these systems and other internal systems (e.g., POS, CRM)
  • Collaborate with external vendors for advanced technical support and system upgrades.

2. Marketing Administrative Duties:

  • Design, implement, and manage marketing campaigns and promotions on the Toast and Paytronix platform, collaborating with the marketing team to meet campaign objectives.
  • Assist IT, Marketing and Operations teams with campaign setup, customer segmentation, and targeted communication using the Toast and Paytronix platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT, Operations, Marketing, and external vendors to ensure successful campaign execution and platform utilization.

3. Operations Administrative Duties

  • Prepare reports on restaurant performance metrics and operational efficiency using Toast, Xtra Chef, Paytronix, etc.
  • Assist in interpreting data to maximize operational insights.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking purchases of food and supplies.

4. System Management:

  • Ensure all restaurant technology systems (e.g., POS, online ordering platforms) are operational and up-to-date.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Toast, Xtra Chef, Paytronix etc. providing training and support to IT, Marketing, Operations, and other stakeholders on the effective use of these systems.
  • Train staff on how to use these technology tools effectively, including software applications and hardware devices.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed of updates and new features released by Toast, Xtra Chef, and Paytronix, making recommendations for implementation to enhance operational efficiency and marketing effectiveness.

5. Customer Service Support:

  • Address customer inquiries related to digital orders, reservations, and other service and technology-related issues.
  • Provide exceptional service to both customers and staff by ensuring technology is user-friendly and accessible.

6. Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with management and staff to identify areas for improvement in operational efficiency through technology.
  • Communicate regularly with Operations and Marketing to report on IT issues and suggest improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or IT support role, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software (Toast and Xtra Chef).
  • Experience with Paytronix or similar customer engagement/loyalty platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with system integration and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams, including IT, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.
