JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Tech/Functional Business Analyst with expertise in Tableau for a role focusing on building and optimizing dashboards and reports within the Patient Services sector. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, using industry best practices to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive reporting tools that drive actionable insights and support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and business units, to ensure alignment on project objectives.

Dashboard & Report Development:

Utilize Tableau to design and develop interactive dashboards and reports tailored to meet the specific needs of Patient Services.

Ensure that visualizations are user-friendly, intuitive, and support data-driven decision-making.

Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot existing dashboards and reports to enhance performance and user experience.

Data Management & Integration:

Integrate data from various sources and ensure data consistency, quality, and accuracy.

Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure appropriate data structures are in place for optimal report performance.

Best Practices Implementation:

Apply best practices in dashboard and report design, including data visualization standards and effective storytelling techniques.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies regarding data security and confidentiality, especially in handling patient-related information.

User Training & Support:

Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the value and impact of Tableau dashboards and reports.

Gather user feedback and iterate on reporting solutions for continuous improvement.

Documentation & Process Improvements:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, processes, and solutions for future reference.

Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiencies in reporting workflows.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience:

5+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the healthcare or patient services sector.

Proven experience in designing and implementing dashboards/reports using Tableau.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Tableau (Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Online).

Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and database management.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
