Overview
Bella Home Builders is expanding and seeking a Commercial Estimator / Project Manager to join our team.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Project Evaluation: Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to understand the scope of work. Identify potential challenges or risks associated with the project.
- Cost Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates for all phases of the construction process, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work. Ensure that estimates are comprehensive and reflect the project s true cost.
- Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit competitive bids for commercial construction projects. Work with the estimating team to ensure that all components of the bid are accurate and complete.
- Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings through value engineering without compromising quality or project integrity. Make recommendations for alternative materials or methods where appropriate.
- Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination: Solicit and analyze quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. Evaluate bids for accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness. Work with the procurement team to secure favorable pricing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle. Provide ongoing support and cost analysis as needed during the construction phase.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with owners and subcontractors.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years construction experience with a minimum of two (2) years of estimating experience.

- Monday to Friday
- Work Location: In person- Charcot Ave, San Jose CA
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 40 per week
Experience:
- Construction: 4 years (Preferred)
- Project management: 2 years (Preferred)
- Proposal writing: 2 years (Preferred)
