ABOUT YOUR ROLE
We are currently seeking a Senior Account Executive who has a passion for excellence in media relations and client management in our sports and fitness vertical. If you are energized by a diverse set of responsibilities, this position might just be your next big step.
As a Senior Account Executive, you will be driving top-tier media relations strategies and outcomes, while also delving into high-level client work. This role offers the opportunity to demonstrate your exceptional capabilities in media relations and your aptitude for contributing significantly across strategic client initiatives. The ability to deliver outstanding media relations and contribute to a range of strategic client initiatives will be the markers of your success. Your tenacity, strategic vision, and expert execution will be essential in this role.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5-8 years of experience in the PR industry
- Expertise in account management and client business
- Mastery of material creation with minimal edits
- Ability to oversee monitoring and analytics projects
- Competence in managing multiple, potentially competing priorities
- Advanced media relations skills
- Mastery of Google suite (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, and Slides) and Slack
- Working knowledge of PR tools including HARO, MuckRack, Press Hook, QWOTED
- Exceptional writing and speaking skills
- Working knowledge of Associated Press best practices
WHAT YOU’LL DO
CLIENT SERVICE
- Immerse yourself in clients' businesses and be fully versed in all aspects of our clients’ categories.
- Nurture successful client relationships and create a strong foundation for lasting partnerships.
- Steer day-to-day strategy and program development, use innovative thinking to guide the tactical and strategic solutions that drive our clients' business goals.
- Uphold quality deliverables to ensure client teams are exceeding expectations, delivering thorough account management services and insightful competitive analysis.
- Create dynamic PR plans, translate our clients' vision into robust PR plans, setting actionable goals and laying out an engaging approach.
- Lead program execution with autonomy and take the helm of specific programs within accounts, demonstrating leadership and precision.
- Stay ahead of the curve by managing regular monitoring and reporting.
MEDIA RELATIONS
- Pilot the development and rollout of earned media, influencer, and social/digital strategies.
- Showcase a mastery of high-profile earned media pitching and managing media tours.
- Media Relations KPI: fuel our growth with a consistent pipeline, adding at least 2 new leads or opportunities per client per week.
STRATEGIC WRITING
- Exhibit advanced writing, crafting clear and compelling communication plans, messages, pitches, and other materials with minimal revisions from account leads.
- Demonstrate ability to oversee and execute awards, speaking opportunities, and other thought leadership programs.
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Foster collaboration across practice and expertise areas to bring best thinking to clients.
- Keep a sharp eye on timelines, flagging any missed deadlines or stalled conversations to ensure seamless project management.
- Be a professional voice on Jack Taylor's internal and external Slack channels, responding to client requests in real-time, ensuring impeccable communication standards.
TEAM LEADERSHIP
- Demonstrate accountability to senior team members.
- Be a mentor for professional development of junior staff.
