ASI is actively recruiting an Analyst to support TSA Vetting Analysis Division (VAD).
JOB DESCCRIPTION: The TSA Vetting Analysis Division (VAD) plays a crucial role in securing the nation s transportation systems by conducting thorough security threat assessments on individuals associated with transportation, including flight crew members. This division is tasked with identifying potential threats and managing recurrent vetting and adjudication processes to ensure current threat statuses are maintained, aligning with continuous security compliance needs. Under the guidance of the Intelligence and Analysis Assistant Administrator, VAD not only performs in-depth assessments but also contributes to the broader intelligence efforts of the TSA, significantly bolstering national security.
This role will be responsible for responding to passenger record inquiries, particularly issues related to boarding pass discrepancies, and conducting in-depth data analysis to assess workload distribution and team performance, which aids in generating detailed reports. The position also requires collaboration with program and technical teams to enhance existing analytical tools, such as the Forensics Reporting Tool used for detailed passenger record analysis. Further duties involve interacting with stakeholders to refine data reporting requests, developing new reporting products, conducting quality assurance to ensure adherence to standards, managing stakeholder relationships to maintain data quality, and assisting in the development of standard operating procedures. These tasks demand a strong blend of technical skills, analytical acumen, and teamwork, emphasizing the role s complexity and its vital contribution to enhancing transportation security.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to passenger record inquiries and addressing boarding pass printing result issues.
- Analyze data and generate reports to assess workload distribution and team performance metrics.
- Coordinate with the program and technical teams to update and enhance current analytic tools such as but not limited to Forensics Reporting Tool used to conduct passenger level record forensic analysis.
- Experience analyzing reporting data requests and confirming requirements with stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating with stakeholder(s) and technical teams to modify existing reports and develop new reporting products.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards and procedures.
- Performing ongoing stakeholder management in areas such as data quality and interpretation.
- Assist with drafting SOPs.
- Experience working with a team.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- DHS TSA Suitability desired but must be quickly clearable.
- Must have 5+ years demonstrated knowledge and experience.
- Strong MS Product skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with short deadlines.
- Able to work with others.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: DHS Public Trust (or clearable)
LOCATION: Hybrid: 32 National Business Pkwy, Annapolis Junction, MD 20701. Our candidate will be in the office one day per week; remote work for the remainder of the week. This position also requires periodic weekend support on a rotating shift basis (maximum 5 workdays total per week)
SALARY: $80,000 - $95,000
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Through Feb 2024, with the expectation we will be award a new 5 year contract.
