- This is a managerial position responsible for administrative management of day-to-day operations of Support Services, which includes Dietary, Environmental Services, Transportation Services, Security, Central Supplies/Receiving.
- Provides oversight of Support Services directly or by providing oversight of subordinate supervision. At this level, employees plan, assign, and review the work of others; adjust work assignments and schedules to maintain adequate staffing levels and respond to fluctuating workloads; provide leadership and guidance to administrative staff; evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals; and implement department policy.
- Accountable for having input into setting a budget and responsible for staying within an assigned budget.
- Provide supervision and training of the Support Services team leaders and other designated staff.
- Assist in the development, implementation and revision of hospital strategic plan, incorporating the needs of the consumers served, as well as those of the hospital workforce; in a manner consistent with regional and departmental mandates.
- Be an active member of assigned facility committees including but not limited to, Discipline Directors, Facility Leadership, Quality Council, and WISE Committee.
